Diary From The Dome
by:
Paul A. Harris
A personal chronicle of two very different trips to New Orleans. The first chronicle is the author's 1977 trip, recorded in his journals as 'a naive twenty-one-year-old discovering himself.' The second trip finds the author caught in Hurricane Katrina, and eventually becoming trapped as a tourist inside the New Orleans Superdome - with 20,000 other helpless people.

Paul A. Harris: "
This is a memoir of self-discovery, human behavior at its best and worst, a raw display of stress coping mechanisms, and racism/preferential treatment in this saga that in many ways mimics William Golding's Lord of the Flies and makes for a timeless read.

Not everyone gets to say "who should play ME in the movie". Is this a long-held private wish, or a seriouis smileessment of the actor's ability to do the job well?

GAH! the system's "naughty word" software didn't like that word - let me say "a serious judgement". There's no "behind" at the beginning of that word!

Could definitely see Tim Robbins in this role as well. Actually was approached by an indie producer in San Diego about making this book into a movie. Since the rapes and murders turned out to be just rumors it seemed to lose the appeal to her.

Since I've always admired John Lithgow as an incredible talent and funny as L, and he mailed me a note saying he found my book "stirring" I have cast him for my part instead of Kevin Spacey.
